Notes: Conrad is a 10 year Pekingese mix who weighs 10 lbs.
Conrad spends a lot of time napping and also enjoys basking in the sun or roaming around the yard. He sees great in the daylight, but has difficulty seeing in the dark. A secure backyard without a pool would be best for Conrad. He is crate trained and mostly house trained but will occasionally mark. He is a happy guy most of the time but can sometimes be a bit ornery when he is woken up suddenly. He will growl out of fear, but has never bitten. Conrad simply needs a quiet place to rest and be loved for his remaining years. An adult only home would be best for him.
Conrad does just fine with eating kibble and even enjoys chewing soft bones. He is on medication indefinitely for his gall stone, but it is shrinking and the cost of these meds in not expensive. He will need to be on Denamarin and Ursodial for life (about $60 a month).
Conrad is heartworm positive but the cost of treatment will be covered by the rescue. He is undergoing the slow kill method and has received a ProHeart-12 injection and 30 days of doxycycline.
Adoption fee is waived to the right home.

CAMO rescue is a 501c3 rescue EIN #46-5486022, whose primary focus is rescuing small dogs on the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters.
CAMO Rescue offers life, health and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues do not take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract.
Emails to inquire are NOT applications to adopt. An application MUST be completed to be considered to adopt.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet.
We are not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our small dogs in homes with large or aggressive breed dogs.
